THE FERTILE GROUP CLINIC TREATMENTS
IVF with Genetic Screening (IVF + PGT-A)
It is the combination of IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) and PGS (Preimplantation Genetic Screening), a laboratory technique that allows us to study the embryo DNA.

IVF + PGT-A
Normally, each human cell contains 23 pairs of chromosomes: half comes from the mother and the other half from the father. However, sometimes this number of chromosomes is altered, which is known as aneuploidy. A higher or lower number of chromosomes could lead to implantation failures or complications during embryo and fetal development.
The Fertile Group offers the possibility to perform PGT-A to reduce the risk of miscarriage and increase the chances to deliver a healthy baby free of specific chromosomal syndromes.
01
Maternal age over 35 years.
02
Couples With previous IVF cycle failure.
03
Women with a clinical history of recurrent abortions due to unknown causes.
04
Women who had a previous pregnancy with chromosomal anomalies.
05
In men with altered parameters in seminogram, as this may indicate an aneuploidy in his sperm.
01
Increased chance of having a healthy baby.
02
Less time to get pregnant.
03
Higher chance of pregnancy.
04
Decreased chances of having to perform several cycles of in vitro fertilization

IVF with Genetic Screening (IVF + PGS)
It is the combination of IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) and PGS (Preimplantation Genetic Screening), a laboratory technique that allows us to study the embryo DNA.
02
The procedure
The IVF procedure with PGT-A follows the same guidelines of a traditional in vitro fertilization cycle: ovarian stimulation, puncture and egg retrieval, laboratory fertilization and embryo culture to blastocyst. Only after this stage, an embryo biopsy is performed before the cryopreservation.
03
The biopsied cells undergo PGT-A
The biopsied cells undergo PGT-A, the preimplantation genetic screening aimed to confirm that the embryo number of chromosomes is correct or if there is any abnormality in any of the 23 pairs of chromosomes of each embryo.
04
After having obtained the analysis results
After having obtained the analysis results (approximately 10 days), The Fertile Group medical team will identify the euploid embryos and choose the right candidate to be thawed and transferred to the mother’s womb.
05
Embryo culture
The culture of the embryos lasts between 5 and 6 days. During this time, our embryologists observe and analyze embryonic development in incubators that reproduce the same conditions of the mother’s uterus. Throughout the culture, the quality of the embryos is controlled in terms of morphology, capacity and division times. This information is essential for our specialists at The Fertile Group, as some embryos may become blocked during their development or others may need to be considered non-viable for future transfer.
Costs
The cost of this treatment, depending on the clinical conditions of each patient, usually ranges from $2,000 to $3,000 in addition to IVF.
The Fertile Group also offers financing facilities to your treatment.
The PGT-A
The Fertile Group offers the possibility to perform PGT-A to reduce the risk of miscarriage and increase the chances to deliver a healthy baby free of specific chromosomal syndromes.
Results
A blood pregnancy test will be performed after 11 days as in a conventional in vitro fertilization.
Our specialists will be at your complete disposal.
